Important work
Some people would consider important work to be that piece that makes that one defining statement. The crowd goes wild, you end up with a loft apartment in some city with a too high cost of living. All of those things would be great but I have learned that sometimes your most important work are the pieces that touch only a few people.
This piece was done for a friend, Tim Murray, as a gift for his girlfriend. It was painted from a photo she loves of her and her grandmother. He tells me repeatedly how much she loves it. Now that’s important work.
